The big port of Saint-Petersburg can be seen on the image. It is the largest seaport in the North-West of Russia, located in the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland. Most of the port areas are located on islands and malls in the estuary of the Neva River.

The big port of Saint-Petersburg freezes in winter, but navigation does not stop all year round. The port is multifunctional and is equipped for taking containers, cars, equipment, timber, coal and other cargoes. It includes 200 berths, the length of the berthing line is about 31 km. The port is visited by cruise liners and ferries, it is able to receive and service more than 12 thousand tourists a day during the season.
